In furtherance of our corporate philosophy of dispensing care and bringing transformational changes to the lives of people and in particular, people and
communities living in remote areas, we also provide renewable energy systems and solutions, in collaboration with established system providers, manufacturers and consultants.
We seek to work hand-in-hand with the State and Federal Governments to realize the nation’s policies of raising the standards of living of the rural populace through “capacitybuilding”, so as to empower them to become selfresponsible and consequently, economically self-sustaining.
Micro and Mini-Hydro Electricity Systems. In pursuit of the foregoing mission, the company entered into a joint venture with ENTEC AG of Switzerland and PT Entec
of Indonesia, an engineering consultancy company, whose specialization is in the design, construction and man-agement of micro and mini-hydro power systems.
Their past records of having installed and managed microhydro systems in other developing countries like Nepal, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam in partnership with reputable development agencies and organizations like the World Bank and UNDP and their focus on technology transfer, convinced us that ENTEC are the right technical partners that will help us provide a total solution for rural transformation.
The Company adopts the approach that micro-hydro projects undertaken by the
company shall be sustainable. That is, there must be a continuous corporate local
presence in an area to educate and train villagers not only on the operation and maintenance of the system but very importantly, how they can harness electricity for micro enterprises and thus, empower them to become economically productive and self-sustaining.
